I fondly remember the café in the Co-op. This was a nice place for a treat and the waitresses wore black skirts and had white blouses and starched aprons. It was quite classy.
I remember when there was a Woolworths, where Boyes is now. Such a great shop with so much choice. You could get anything from Woolworths - e.g. a single nut and bolt or a washer, a bar of chocolate through to a great range of clothes and even furniture, and all on one floor.
